Professional Experience

Kim Wegner brings more than 20 years of public accounting experience to MBE CPAs, where her work sits at the intersection of technical precision and real-world business strategy. She focuses on business taxation, tax planning, and advisory services, and holds advanced valuation training that she puts to work when clients face acquisitions, expansions, or other high-stakes financial inflection points.

Kim has built a deep specialty in hospitality and restaurant accounting, with a particular focus on Culver’s franchise groups and restaurant franchise owners across the country. She understands the operational complexity these businesses face, and she has built her practice around solving it. That means hands-on support with multi-entity tax planning, cost segregation studies, 401(k) audits, and tax credit maximization. On the technical side, she integrates POS platforms like Brink and Crunchtime into monthly financial close processes, giving operators cleaner, faster visibility into their numbers.

What sets Kim apart at MBE CPAs is how she combines operational fluency with long-term strategic thinking. Her clients are using their financials to understand unit-level profitability, manage cash flow across locations, and plan for the next phase of growth. Kim has been doing this work long enough to know what restaurant operators need to see in their numbers, and she has built the tools and processes to get them there.
